Me
I am a small batch ceramicist that enjoys combining nature with art. Inspired by nature, I love to find ways to combine animals, plants, and insects with clay and bring a part of nature inside to the built environment. Retro forms with a modern vibe and handmade glazes tailored to highlight nature and bring mindfulness to your day.
My Work
Functional and clean. I like to combine functional items with natural surface decorations with a unique vintage flair.
My Story
I started out with a background in graphic design and drawing & painting and in 2008 I discovered Ukrainian pysanky art on eggshells and fell in love with it. I love that it combines something so common as an eggshell with something so unique and detailed as the pysanky writings.
Flash forward to fall of 2018 when I was motivated to go back to school and start ceramics which I had always love doing but never seemed like a dream I could make happen. In December of 2018 I started on the journey of setting up a home studio for ceramics and have had that dream come to fruition in March of 2019 with the purchase of my very own kiln.
I look forward to many years of creating ceramics for everyone to enjoy and the occasionally decorated eggshell.
